Minecraft and DayZ

Good mornin’,
Our team will be doing some general upkeep on the Minecraft and DayZ game servers around 9PM tonight. Both games will be getting a refresh along with plugin and workshop updates. If you have in game coin on either server, please make sure that you bank your coins as your player character will be reset along with the world in both games.

DayZ has a handful of workshop updates to process and Minecraft will be moving two game version forward to be on the latest stable.

Our team managed to get three server and two routers updated today, so some of the work log has been cleared. Still have three routers to update and a handful of VPS instances.

Side note, due to issues outside of MFN’s control, our project manager has left the project. Starting tomorrow, the PM position will be open for members and VTs to apply for, if they wish to take a go at running the project. If interested, get in contact with Skylar.

Routing might be flakey until around 4PM today. Our team is working on updating all of our routers to the latest opnsense release. If DNS or routing is not functional by then, let us know at https://support.marbledfennec.net:3500/

Project Lifetime --> MFN/FurrIX has been in some sort of operational status since its unofficial start around July 2009. The current and live version officially started around May of 2021 and continues to be operational through 2024. There have been some very close calls over the past year or two, but we are fighting to hang in there!
