NS Drop List Updated

Our name servers have had their drop list updated. Should start to see less load on either server and more normal traffic being handled. Keep in mind that MFN relies on seeing and reacting to traffic patterns and domains are only added to the drop list if they are associated with malware or other unwanted issues.

Added 13 new domains to the list and sync’d between servers.

NS Delegation is Fixed

Data center found a record that was overriding our delegation and have fixed the problem. rDNS should be working for our 2604:4300:f03::/48 allocation once again.

Updates are underway!

Our team will be working on updates across various parts of our network over the next few days. So far the hypervisor has been updated, even though it made Skylar nervous due to it taking a bit to reboot. Our name server PTR zones were also updated along with some of our normal NS zones being cleaned up a bit.

Tomorrow we will be hopefully updating our routers to the latest firmware release and updating the OS on our various VMs.

Also, for our network tenants:
Marbled Fennec Networks will be giving you guys a little late Crimmus present: From Decemeber 30th until January 8th, network usage accounting will not be enabled. Quality of Service will remain in place to enforce even sharing, but the monthly bandwidth accounting will not function between these dates. Get yer steam downloads, console updates and what not caught up on during the next few days. Thank you all for tagging along this far and happy new year!
